What a gift it is to be alive.
My photography practice is one of gratitude. Learning to notice through photography has nudged me to lead a more full life with a grateful heart. Creating reminds me of what it is to be human. Noticing leads and moves me to love. It is my greatest hope that my photographs help others to notice, too.
This practice has also brought me to a better understanding of my philosophy for living. Cameras allow my thoughts and lived experience to be transformed into images, which become a tangible representation of what is going on in my head and my heart. Sharing my heart with you is a privilege!
I shoot a combination of digital & 35mm, whatever the whims of the day bring. My eye is drawn to interior spaces, the light, whimsy, natural creation, relationships, the historic, the way that our interior lives are outwardly expressed - what is real. Beauty and color and aliveness is everywhere.
I currently live in Duluth, MN, and design interiors for a residential remodeling company. You can often find me fixing up old furniture; exploring the Minnesota & Canadian wilderness while paddling or portaging a canoe; making the world my dance floor; hiking the Superior Hiking Trail; or fishing on Lake of the Woods with my family.
I love the Minnesota life! It’s a good one.
